Lyrics
The Tree
Lyrics by Scott Eastwood ~ Music by Scott Eastwood & Carbon Red
Oooo ~ Oooo ~ Oooo ~ Oooo
In a dream a tree with laughing leaves,
told me to believe in more than I can see.
Now I believe, Grandfather Tree.
Dreaming of a thousand years, feel it as it comes to tears.
Break away from all the pain, feel it as it falls like rain.
Holding all the pain inside, living even though I’ve died.
Choking on the skies above, wishing they were made of love.
Pure Love.
Sing the song that nature sings, a universe of love she brings.
Keepers of her sacred fire,
drawn by the dreams in her heart’s desire.
But in my mind I’ve just got to know,
how do we help this garden grow?
Sing the song she loves to hear, release the clouds of frozen fear.
Na na na na, na na na na, na na na, na na na na. (X2)
Poem
I am a tree my roots grab hold, sacred soil from which I mold.
A tremendous trunk still in the breeze,
giving freedom to my laughing leaves.
Stretching out to the beckoning sky,
I sense the seasons and those who cry.
My deep connection is in the earth,
I know my source, my point of birth.
Na na na na, na na na na, na na na, na na na na. (X2)
Oooo ~ Oooo ~ Oooo ~ Oooo
Now I believe in more than I can see
Now I believe, tree believes in me.
